Betty J
Betty J. Mizek, MSW, LICSW, MscR, is a licensed clinical social worker specializing in older adult refugees. She completed her dissertation on the health outcomes of older refugees at Kakuma Refugee Camp in 2024. With over 25 years of experience, she founded Care Management Group, LLC in 2008, providing care to older adults in Washington D.C. Betty has worked with the UNHCR in Slovakia and managed refugee resettlement for the International Rescue Committee in Washington D.C. She plans to pursue a PhD to further explore the plight of older refugees in Africa.
AgeWatch Africa is a nonprofit, social enterprise that was founded in 2016 with the primary focus of providing compassionate, high quality, and affordable elderly care to families across Kenya.
